Biography

Panameño del futuro.

CHACO (Carlos Eduardo Goldstein Alemán) is a Panamanian singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist.

Born in Panama to a Panamanian mother and American father, he grew up immersed in the vibrant cultural diversity of the Caribbean, especially through frequent visits to Portobelo. His artistic name originated in the studio when his long hair and rock influences earned him the nickname blending “Charlie” and “Cobain.”

Since fully committing to music in 2022, CHACO has developed a signature sound he defines as “panameño del futuro” — a groove-heavy, cinematic fusion centered on afrobeats and afropop, interwoven with Latin trap, Panamanian dembow, reggaetón, hip-hop, dancehall, and occasional Brazilian funk and experimental textures.

CHACO has performed at MACRO FEST, Panama’s top clubs, and made his international debut in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He collaborates regularly with leading regional producers and musicians while maintaining a strong visual and audiovisual output.

In parallel, he has built an extensive modeling career with international streetwear and fashion brands including F.WAVEZ, GOLDEN ANGELS, LIQUID, OFELIA MEN, VANS, CAROLINA LEMKE BERLIN, FREEDOM MOSES, and MELISSA INTERNACIONAL.

Rooted in authenticity and versatility, CHACO is actively involved in cultural and environmental initiatives such as LA ESCUELITA DEL RITMO in Portobelo, CONCIENCIA VERDE, and MOVIMIENTO MIMAR.

He has worked with brands such as F.WAVEZ, GOLDEN ANGELS, LIQUID, OFELIA MEN, OFELIA OCEAN, VANS, CAROLINA LEMKE BERLIN, FREEDOM MOSES, and MELISSA INTERNACIONAL.

His background as a performing artist gives him exceptional movement quality, emotional depth, and camera intuition, making him a favorite for brands seeking authentic energy and strong visual storytelling.

Bilingual in Spanish and English, CHACO is based in Panama and available for international campaigns, editorials, runway, and long-term brand collaborations. A dynamic, modern face with undeniable screen and campaign appeal.

The quiet ritual of discipline

6 minMay 2026

Discipline rarely looks like the highlight reel. It looks like waking before the city does, the same notebook on the same desk, the same stretch on the same rug. Glamour is the residue, not the source. The work is the work, repeated until repetition becomes identity.

Studio Diary

Committing to a sound, fully

There is a moment in every record when you stop searching for what people want and start listening for what only you can say. That is when the sound finally belongs to you. The trick is to stay there long enough for the rest of the world to catch up.

Letters from PTY

Collaboration, the Panamá way

Panamá teaches you that the best work begins with a meal and ends with a hug. Producers, photographers, dancers, designers, you all share the same humidity and the same hunger. The borders between disciplines blur quickly here, and that blur is the point.

Wardrobe

What men should be wearing this season

Trade the gym shorts for tailored trousers in saffron, terracotta, deep oxblood. Layer a soft tank under a structured blazer, leave the top button open, and let one accessory carry the conversation. The brief for the season is restraint with a single, deliberate jolt of colour.

Process

On showing up before you feel ready

Readiness is a feeling that lies. The stage does not care if you slept. The lens does not care if you doubted yourself this morning. You show up, you choose to be present, and the room rewards the decision. Confidence follows action, never the other way around.
